Government Renovation Subsidies
The government recognizes the significance of renovations for energy efficiency in Cyprus and offers various schemes to support such projects.
These schemes aim to incentivize property owners to adopt energy-saving measures and promote the use of renewable energy sources (RES).
The schemes cover the following areas:
- Thermal insulation
- Window replacement
- Installation of shading systems
- Installation and/or replacement of technical systems (e.g., photovoltaic systems, air conditioners, etc.)
Homeowners can receive grants covering up to 60% of the renovation costs, while vulnerable households and mountain residents are eligible for up to 80% of the cost. The total budget available is 35 million euros, with a maximum grant amount of €32,000, depending on the type of renovation and other factors.
